Legend Boats, a Canadian company, offers nineteen models of aluminum utility, all purpose fishing, and fish, cruise and ski boats from over thirteen feet to almost twenty feet in both riveted and welded hull construction. Legend also offers nine pontoon boat models.
The 16 Xcalibur is part of the Fish, Cruise and Ski series utilizing extra thick .100 gauge two piece welded aluminum hull construction with cast aluminum bow and corner caps and multiple bow ribs and full-length interior bottom ribs for added strength plus injected and level foam flotation for safety.
The interior of the 16 Xcalibur is well designed for its intended purposes as it can easily and readily be converted from a family cruising/watersport boat with optional full-size removable bow cushions plus comfortable seating for four adults in the cockpit, to a dedicated fishing machine. Simply fold the converta-bench rear seat back to extend the rear casting platform and remove the two high-back swivel helm buckets and insert them in the receivers located on this rear deck and on the bow platform. An aerated 30-gallon bow livewell with integrated bait bucket is standard as is pre-wiring for an electric trolling motor. Stow your rods in the 7-foot lockable starboard rod box.
A molded dash features full standard chrome-bezeled instrumentation and the curved, centre walk-thru windshield is high-profile for added foul weather protection. All Legend full windshield boats come standard equipped with full enclosure stand-up foul weather top with side and aft curtains, bow cover and storage boot. Legend boats are pre-packaged with Mercury outboard motors, in this case a Mercury 50 ELPTO, and a custom Glide-on trailer.
Legend Boats claims to be the only company to include a “Leakproof for Life” warranty on the entire hull. Additional warranty includes lifetime floor and deck, 5-year trailer frame, 5-year canvas and carpet, and 3-year vinyl floor and upholstery. Notable optional equipment to allow you personalize your Legend includes the aforementioned bow cushions with contoured backrests, a space-saving trailer swing tongue, Lowrance or Humminbird fish/depth finder, and a colour-matched swim platform.
