2010 Limestone 22 Runabout by Medieros

For many years, the Limestone name has been associated with quality-built, dependable, classic-design boats enjoyed by knowledgeable, experienced boaters, especially where rough and unpredictable waters are involved and transportation over those waters is a necessity in almost any and all conditions.
The Mark Ellis designed Limestone 22 Runabout is one of eleven models of outboard and sterndrive-powered console boats, runabouts, cuddy cabins, and one express cruiser from seventeen to twenty-six feet built by Medeiros Boat Works of Oakville, Ontario.
The Limestone 22 Runabout is the classic functional and utilitarian big-water hauler. It has loads of carry-all space for hauling all those weekend goods and groceries to that island cottage or refuge on big water lakes, plenty of seating for lots of guests, and with interior move-around space for everyone on board. The raised bow and hull flare coupled with the high, aluminum-framed windshield with opening side vents provides a dry ride while the deep-vee hull design keeps the ride comfortable when the going gets rough.
Full-length stringers and structural frames are overlaid on the single-piece, balsa-cored, hand laid-up fibreglass hull. The heavy duty hull-deck rub rail has a classy rope inlay, while the diamond patterned, non-skid fibreglass cockpit sole is guttered and self-draining for easy cleaning. Storage is under all of the seating and a locking door leads to a huge under-deck, dry, forward storage area. Additional storage is found in the floor through an access hatch plus full length under the hull side coamings.
Unique to the Limestone 22 Runabout is your choice of regular sterndrive power with a transom motor box arrangement, or optionally, a more classic mid-mounted engine coupled by a driveshaft to a transom-mounted sterndrive. This latter arrangement shifts the weight distribution forward allowing the boat to plane at very low speeds for more efficient running in almost any sea conditions. This arrangement also allows for a full-width rear bench seat.
Stainless steel cleats, chocks and fittings are all back-plated and through-bolted. There’s even a stainless steel stern-mount, recessed flag pole socket and a traditional stainless steel steering wheel.
