2010 Tahoe Q4 SS Boat Review

As part of the Tracker Marine group of boat companies, Tahoe builds fibreglass boats with all-round family fun and enjoyment in mind with fourteen models of runabouts and deck boats from eighteen to almost twenty-six feet, each model geared slightly more toward cruising, luxury, sportiness, fishing, or watersports.
The Tahoe Q4 SS, the smallest of the Tahoe family, is a versatile sporty runabout suitable for multi-purpose cottage use or for all-round family fun and enjoyment on the water. With five colour combinations to choose from plus an optional Elite Q graphics and trim package, every Tahoe can be custom suited to each boater’s taste.
The Q4 SS rides on Tahoe’s PowerGlide™ hull design of hand-laid fibreglass strengthened with a fibreglass stringer system and a non-skid fibreglass floor. A full-width integrated swim platform with telescoping boarding ladder, grab handle assists, and stainless steel ski tow ring all enhance the enjoyment of watersports. A full-width aft padded sundeck has storage below. Full-width rear seating for four offers side seat storage and a 52-qt. cooler under the centre section. The driver and passenger bucket seats are adjustable and swivelling.
The passenger console features drink holders, a glovebox, ice chest, and a Serius®-capable AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 jack. The attractive driver’s-side console contains the normal sterndrive gauges behind a Black sport steering wheel and under a glare-resistant eyebrow. In the floor between the two bucket seats is a large wakeboard/ski storage locker.
Through the aluminum-framed walk-thru windshield, the bow area has two upholstered-backed lounge seats with insulated and drained storage units below that double as coolers. A colour-matched, powder-coat finish, single axle trailer with swing-away tongue and tongue jack is standard equipment with the Q4 SS. The maximum recommended 135 horsepower provided by a MerCruiser 3.0L sterndrive package is said to propel the Q4 SS to a very respectable 42 mph.
Several options are available to personalize the Q4 SS to your boating desires. Choose a bimini top, wakeboard tower with or without racks, snap-in cockpit carpeting, tilt steering, depth sounder, stereo remote control, a driver seat bolster, boat covers, and trailer upgrades.
