2010 Tracker Bass Tracker Pro 16 Boat Review

Tracker Boats of Springfield, MO claims to be “America’s #1-selling fishing boats for 32 years running,” a pretty substantial claim in this huge market segment. For 2010, Tracker is offering a total of sixteen models of aluminum fishing boats from fifteen to almost nineteen feet in length, plus another eighteen models of utility and jon boats from ten feet to over twenty feet in length, including two new center console boats. Tracker Boats also offers nine models of pontoon boats from nineteen to thirty-three feet. There certainly is a Tracker model to suit any requirement you may have.
The Pro 16, introduced last year, is a price-value leader in this category for Tracker, featuring all-welded, .090, 5052 marine alloy one-piece modified-V hull construction with full-length longitudinal stringer system, injected, compressed hull foam, all-aluminum transom and aluminum deck lids.
The one-piece molded side-console with steering wheel and switch panel has a built-in drink holder and a molded, tinted plexiglass windscreen. A Lowrance® X51 Pro fish finder with surface temperature, battery monitor and swivel is standard equipment. Two fold-down seats are at this helm, the passenger seat containing a storage compartment underneath, and another two fold-down seats are mounted on the elevated bow and aft casting decks. Two more storage compartments are found within the bow and aft decks. A dedicated portside rod storage system has tubes and holders for four rods. The 16 gallon bow aerated livewell features a recessed bait bucket holder and a 500 GPH aerator pump.
A MotorGuide® 12 volt, 46-lb thrust, 36” shaft, foot-controlled trolling motor is standard with the Pro 16 as is its harness and a battery and tray. Also standard is a custom-fit mooring cover and a custom Tracker Trailstar® trailer with swing-away tongue, tongue jack, and constructed of G-90 galvanized steel with zinc corrosion protection and powder coating finish.
Being fully packaged, the Pro 16 comes with a Mercury® 20ELPT FourStroke EFI outboard motor. The only options are a larger Mercury® 30ELPT motor and trailer brakes if desired and probably highly recommended.
