Monterey 184FS Profile

"Our Facet Series (FS) Sport Boats include models from 18-26 feet, and their sharp, crisp contours are reminiscent of the facets on a precious gem. All come standard with Monterey's Air Assist Chine to provide additional lift and reduce drag by introducing air under the hull. This increases fuel efficiency, easier planing, tight cornering and precise handling." "The 184FS might be the smallest model in the Monterey line up, but size is only a measurement."

The Facet Series comprising nine models is one of four series in the Monterey line-up for 2012 with a total of twenty-two models of sport boat bowriders and cuddies plus Cruisers and Sport Yachts up to forty-one feet.

Six standard hull side colours including Rio (red), Sunburst (yellow), Sapphire (blue), Onyx (black), Sterling (silver), and Pearl (white) with matching deck stripe are offered with the 184FS as well as an optional choice of an Onyx (black) hull bottom and deck stripe. An Extreme Graphics package for the hull side is offered to add further excitement to your boat.

An integral, molded-in swim platform allows ease of entry from a dock onto the 184FS while a lower extended swim platform with telescoping, recessed, stainless steel boarding ladder facilitates all manner of watersports activities. A stainless steel ski tow eye is mounted right above the platform for ease of access. If you're really into it, add the optional wakeboard tower to which you can add wakeboard racks and a mirror to enhance your watersports enjoyment. And you can go all out by adding the stylish and functional SeaDek swim platform inlay.

Standard cockpit seating includes port and starboard helm swivel bucket seats on sliders plus stern jump seats beside the motor box. Forward are port and starboard seating with hinged cushions and padded backrests on the front of each helm console. Storage is provided under the cushions and a forward bow cushion covers an anchor storage locker below. Lots of well-placed grab handles add safety and a total of ten stainless steel drinkholders provide convenience.

Optional seating includes exchanging the port side helm bucket with a back-to-back reclining lounge seat and you can also add a rear sundeck. Snap-in cockpit carpet is optional and requires the addition of the non-skid fiberglass inner liner. This latter option is highly recommended. An in-floor locker stores your watertoys and skis while cockpit side storage is great for quick access to smaller items.

The modern-looking, well laid out helm with anti-glare design provides all of the normal sterndrive gauges with fog-resistant design and low glare night lighting. The custom black and silver steering wheel tilts to your liking. A satellite-ready Fusion marine AM/FM stereo with built-in iPod dock, MP3 adapter, and four speakers provides the entertainment and may be upgraded with remotes at the helm and the stern. An optional convenience package adds a compass, depthsounder, and transom tilt switch.

A convertible top is standard with the 184FS and you can add aft and side curtains to this. Perhaps you would prefer to go one step further and choose the bimini top with bow and cockpit covers. A stainless steel package option includes pull-up cleats, stainless inserts on the grab handles and the most useful and practical low bow rails.

Standard power for the 184FS is a 150 hp MerCruiser 3.0L MPI CAT (catalyst) with an ALPHA drive. Depending on your normal loading and your watersports requirements, you may want to move up to one of three optional power choices from each of MerCruiser or Volvo 4.3L V-6 engines ranging from 190 to 225 hp. As you can see, there are lots of choices available to build this Monterey 184FS almost exactly to your particular desires.
