The DC 365 is the newest and largest of Pursuit’s growing and ever more popular five model Dual Console series. Introduced at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show, it won the Boating Writers International Innovation Award. Pursuit offers a total of sixteen models of Center Console, Offshore, Dual Console, Sport, and Sport Coupe boats from twenty-three to forty feet.
This new DC 365 is truly a multi-purpose boat with bowrider and cockpit seating capacity for cruising and entertaining, overnight accommodations for four with privacy, separate stand-up head with shower, cooking facilities, protection from the weather, plus all of the amenities and necessities for great big water fishing.
Bow seating is full U-shaped with coaming bolstering plus forward-facing lounging with backrests and flip-up armrests. A cockpit table and sunlounge filler cushion is standard as is a stereo remote plus two USB ports. Storage is beneath both port and starboard cushions. A flush forward anchor locker with through-stem roller, anchor, chain, and electric windlass are all standard.
A one-piece acrylic windbreak door leads back through the walk-thru very high centre opening windshield section to the helm. A fully adjustable extra wide swivel helm bench seat with armrests and forward flip-up bolster is to starboard while an L-shaped passenger lounge to port permits forward or rear-facing stretching out with armrest plus a centre-gunwale flip-down armrest with drinkholders.
On the aft side of this passenger lounge is a double-wide aft-facing bench seat with two insulated storage sections within plus dedicated tackle trays behind the folding backrest. Aft of this is a double-wide bench seat that folds up under the port side gunwale plus another double-wide bench seat that folds up into the inside of the transom. When all seats are deployed, U-shaped cockpit seating is established complete with a standard molded cockpit table.
A port side transom walk-thru door leads to the integrated transom platform extensions with four-step telescoping boarding ladder. Just ahead of the transom on the starboard side is a boarding door within the hull side complete with dedicated ladder. Within the transom on the starboard side is a 28-gallon lighted recirculating livewell. Within the cockpit floor are two very large storage compartments; to port an insulated fishbox and to starboard, general storage.
A standard molded entertainment centre aft of the helm seat features a sink with hot and cold water, electric grill, lockable storage, and refrigerator/freezer. A cockpit JL® Bluetooth® compatible stereo system includes seven speakers plus amplifier. Cockpit hot and cold fresh water wash plus raw water washdown plus LED accent lighting plus nine rod holders are all standard.
The custom molded hardtop features a full-beam opening sunroof, powder coated support structure, three-piece tempered glass windshield with centre opening walk-thru section, glass side windows, four overhead tri-colour LED lights, fore and aft spreader lights, a pair of integrated overhead glove boxes, plus standard Strataglass side curtains and drop curtain. Port and starboard windshield wipers with washers are standard.
The molded fibreglass helm features a tilt stainless steel steering wheel with textured grip and control knob and a large electronics mounting surface. Within this helm, an access door leads to the self-contained enclosed head compartment with stand-up shower, designer sink, Corian® countertop, Vacuum Flush toilet, vanity plus full height storage cabinets, tempered glass skylight plus opening screened portlight.
The lockable passenger console door leads to a cabin with Ultra Leather port side salon settee, forward double berth with hull side windows, aft double berth with 6-inch recessed mattress, cedar lined hanging locker, fore and aft opening screened portlights, plus a digital media-ready entertainment centre with 28-inch LED TV plus microwave oven plus dedicated reverse cycle air conditioning/heating. Both vertical and horizontal rod storage is also provided.
Notable additional standard equipment includes an 8 kW diesel generator, bow thruster, auto-retract trim tabs with indicators, six batteries plus two chargers, fully isolated shore power with electrically retractable cord, and dockside water inlet. Standard power is from triple Yamaha® F300 engines reported to deliver a top speed of 51.3 mph. Optimum cruising speed is 34 mph.
Notable optional equipment includes Yamaha Helm Master™ steering system, white painted engines, four choices of hull side colours, cockpit air conditioning/heating, underwater lights, forward stowable portable sunshade, custom electric cockpit sunshade from back of hardtop, Stamoid® (white) or Sunbrella® (choice of colours) canvas options, Revolution hardtop-mounted outriggers, remote spotlight, Yamaha Gateway, plus Garmin® electronics including GPS/plotter, sonar, radar, and auto pilot.
Pursuit calls its new DC 365, “a luxury sport utility style product built for adventure.” It sure is all of that and much more.
