The R180 Center Console is one of seven models from sixteen to thirty feet in Robalo’s center console series. Robalo offers a total of twenty-one models up to thirty feet in four series of center consoles, dual consoles, walkarounds, and bay boats.

The R180 rides on Robalo’s proven Hydro Lift™ multi angle hull design with all Perma-Panel marine coring, Kevlar reinforcement, poured composite transom coring, and with level upright foam flotation. For its size, it has relatively high freeboard and a deep cockpit for safety when the going gets rough.

Wide gunnels throughout provide easy step-in access all around, especially at the bow where a wide walkway both sides of centre facilitate ease of entry and exit. Centred on top of the bow is an anchor locker with an anchor cradle within. A sizable bow casting deck with non-skid surface positioned half way between the gunnel and the cockpit sole provides a handy step up or step down.

Within this casting deck is a 25-gallon insulated compartment with drain; excellent for use as a fishbox, cooler, or general storage. Optional bow cushions create a seating area on this deck close to the standard forward-facing single seat with padded back bolster located on the forward face of the console. This forward face of the console is a full-height door for access to storage space cum head compartment within the console which may be optionally equipped with a Porta-Potti.

The center console itself on the R180 is set up to be practical, useful, and outfitted for both fishing and pleasure pursuits. Facing it is a two-person wide brushed anodized leaning post/seat with backrest and with a 70-quart portable cooler with dedicated storage beneath it. The front surface of the dash features a stainless steel steering wheel with standard Baystar hydraulic steering.

Two stainless drinkholders and a stainless grab handle are beside the wheel and an open storage compartment below is suitable for small items. The top surface of the dash is a flat and drained storage shelf while ahead of that is the high aluminum framed acrylic windshield with surrounding stainless steel protective grab rail.

A vertical aluminum panel with dc switches and breakers are on each side of the dash leaving the centre portion available for your Yamaha digital engine instrumentation and GPS navigation and/or fish finding screens. A 12-volt accessory outlet is provided and three vertical rod holders on each side of the console are standard.

The backs of a pair of standard convertible transom jump seats fold down to horizontal so that, when coupled with the lid of the centre transom 15-gallon livewell with high speed pickup and sea water straining system, provide a full-width transom casting platform. More storage and rigging compartment access is found beneath the seat cushions of these jump seats.

A pair of molded, integrated swim platforms provides easy water access with the starboard platform outfitted with a covered three-step telescoping stainless steel boarding ladder. Additional notable standard equipment includes a pair of horizontal rod holders beneath each cockpit gunnel, four in-gunnel rod holders, padded cockpit coaming pads, and stainless steel grab rails throughout. A single axle aluminum trailer with swing-away tongue and tongue jack is also standard.

Standard hull and deck colour is white gelcoat with a Fish Hook graphic or you may optionally choose from five hull bottom, solid hull, or wide band colours. Upholstery is available in six colour choices. Single Yamaha power in 115 or 150 horsepower is offered for your R180.

One unique available option is the ability to fold down the console windshield along with its surrounding protective stainless steel grab rail. You may also choose an anodized aluminum or black or white powder coated T-Top. Other notable options include dual batteries, battery charger, trim tabs, tilt steering, a Garmin 742XS GPS screen, and an AM/FM Bluetooth-compatible stereo with USB and MP3 ports along with a pair of speakers.

Additional available upgrades include integrated console footrest, dual leaning post flip-up or fixed footrest, raw water washdown, high bow rail, ski tow, and black or white powder coating for the leaning post with or without dual flip-up seat bolsters and four vertical rod holders behind. You may also want a leaning post or mooring or console cover and/or a bimini top if you don’t choose the T-Top.

As you can see, the Robalo R180 comes standard with all the necessary fishing accouterments and may be optionally outfitted to enhance your personal or cruising comfort and enjoyment.
