This unique West Coast vessel has extensive upgrades and is ready to cruise Vancouver Island and Coastal British Columbia. 
It is presently CSI certified for commercial work and can accommodate 10 passengers and two crew comfortably. 
This vessel could carry on working commercially or as it's being used presently as a pleasure craft.
It would be ideal as a live aboard. 
Built during what is know as 'The Golden Era of West Coast Shipbuilding', she was a Torpedo M12' and named the 'Atlin Post. The 'Atlin Post' and sister ship the 'Chilko Post' were used as 'Torpedo Recovery' vessels. 
In 1945 the government repurposed the vessel for 'Fisheries Patrol' along the coast of British Columbia. 
After her retirement from Fisheries the vessel was sold into private hands and has continued to work commercially. 
The present owners purchased the vessel in 2007 and have done an extensive refit to the vessel and it's been used for both pleasure and commercially. 

Listed below are particulars on the 'High Seas Drifter' as noted in a 2016 "Appraisal Report' conducted for the present owners. 

The displacement hull and transom are constructed with 1 3/4" Fir and Oak ribs. 
Port side 'Gumwood' was removed, re caulked behind and replaced in 2016
'Purple Heart' wood was installed on the hull to provide protection against anchor chaffing on the Port side in 2015
The Fir Stringers are 6" x 8"
All planking from the waterlinento the decks were replaced in 2009
Stainless Fasteners & Boat Nails are used throughout the vessel
All Thru Hull fitting above and below the waterline were replaced in 2016.
All aluminum bulwarks. 

The decks are fir planks replaced in 2009 from the stern up to the wheelhouse. 
Handrails are aluminum along with the door access to the boats mechanical compartment. 

The superstructure is a combination of aluminum and plywood with galvanized thru bolts. 

The wheelhouse has had an extensive refit with window replacements and upgraded electronics

The TV is 'Intellian' satellite system will a 'Bell' Receiver.

Twin GM 6-V-71 Diesel engines provide 250 horsepower. 
The port engine was rebuilt in 2013
The vessel has 'Air Wagner' throttle controls
The engines have dry exhaust
A manual cross over fuel transfer pump allows for fuel control
There are 'Kaysor' engine alarms
The stuffing boxes are bronze
All batteries are stored in secures covered boxes
A large blower system on the stack controls air movement in the engine room.
The transmissions are 'Allison - Twin Disc' The port gears are 1 year old and the starboard was rebuilt 4 years ago.
There is an 'Aqua Alarm' fire suppression system in the engine room along with fire alarms located in the fo'c's'le, tank room galley and captains cabin.
There is both 12v and 32v battery systems aboard
A 7W 'Kubota' diesel generator [2 water strainers] provides 120 voltage and inverters provide 120 voltage when the generator is not in use. The vessel is wired for USP charging 
A 'US' Water maker make 40 gallon per hour and was installed in 2015
The vessel is heated throughout with a hot water system and thermostat controls in each cabin.  
There is a stacking washer/dryer in the mechanical room 
Access to the fo'c's'le is from the pilothouse where there the sleeping bunks and head with shower room. 
Access to the engine room is aft of the bunks and thru an on deck separate door.
Aft of the fo'c's'le access in the wheelhouse is the captains quarters.
This spacious cabin has a queen size bed along with a port side bunk.

The galley and salon are aft of the engine room compartment and accessed thru dutch doors thru the aft bulkhead. 
The salon area has been refitted with 'Maple' plywood joinery, has a fireplace, entertainment centre including satellite TV, comfortable lounge seating and great view thru numerous windows [re bedded]. 

The Galley located forward of the salon has both a 'Dickinson Atlantic' diesel stove and propane cook top. 
There is a 120v Fridge off the galley, An under counter fridge in the galley and a standup 120v freezer located in it's own exterior enclosure on the port side of the stern cockpit.
A double sink with hot and cold pressurized water is located to starboard and the countertops are 'Arborite'.

The toilets are 'Vacu Flush' and the holding tank is 85 gallons

Access to the upper deck is by a starboard side ladder from the stern cockpit.
This spacious area has room for outdoor furnishings and sun umbrellas. 
The life raft is also stored on the deck. 

The vessel carries a good complement of spare parts including starters, water maker filters, fuel filters.

A 26' welded aluminum tender with recent new twin outboards is available at additional cost.

The 'High Seas Drifter' is a unique vessel that attracts lots of attention while at sea or in port. With it's history and the present owners work to it's restoration and upgrade, this vessel still has many years ahead of service for commercial or pleasure use.
