Celestris is an aluminum constructed 48 centre cockpit cruising cutter, the hull and deck built by world renown Jacobs Bros of Cape Town South Africa in 1990.

INTERIOR
A spacious upgraded interior including three double person cabins, each with a hanging locker and ample under berth stowage, plus the main sleeping quarters has a comfortable settee and roomy bright cabin.

The new galley was redesigned with custom bamboo cabinetry, an Isotherm side by side Fridge/Freezer, four burner stove, double sinks and ample Corian counter space to prepare serve and enjoy meals around the eight person dinette settee with built in table.

The navigation and charting area has a large working surface for plotting and charting and comes with Simrad Multi Function Display and 4G Radar, with SSB and VHF radio. The interior has high headroom and modern design that is comfortable and very practical while underway.

EXTERIOR
Celestris has a sleek, soft chine centre cockpit hull.

A power support arch holds three solar panels and two "SuperWind" turbine wind generators that operate quietly and vibration free.

An auxiliary WindVane is set up for ocean passages, requires no electrical power and sails the boat flawlessly.

She is powered by a Perkins Prima M50 Diesel engine with a two bladed feathering prop.

An aft aluminum bench provides a comfortable lounge area and is also a spacious outdoor berth.

A forepeak locker accessed via a hatch on the deck provides gear stowage and a watertight compartment with access to the windlass anchor operations.

Celestris has been well maintained and consistently upgraded to provide comfort, convenience and safety. She is a proven fast vessel having been raced for many seasons in both South Africa and Annapolis clocking superior speed and providing excellent stability and security underway.

Celestris is capable and equipped for sailing anywhere. She is roomy, comfortable and a serious sailors boat that is a pleasure to live aboard, maintain and a joy to sail. We have completed our journey on her and now it's time for a new home.
