Description

Alcanzar is a Bill Garden design custom made, strip molded, epoxy wood composite sailboat. She has lovely lines defined by a canoe stern, teak decks, and solid wood Mahogany bulwarks that offer a wide and secure deck area. Exterior comforts also include a large horseshoe shaped teak lined cockpit with overhead shade canopy and a wide companion way access. The interior is highlighted with all teak paneling and cabinetry. Two large settees over six feet long that pull out to double berths. Large galley area including a double sink, three burner gas stove, and large food prep counter. Heads area has lots of storage, clothes hamper and a shower arrangement. Hallway has a large full height cabinet with double doors for pantry and other storage. Large v-berth area with double bed and storage underneath. This is a fully equipped boat suitable for extended cruising with 90 gallons of water tankage and a propane heater for off season use. Perkins M30 30hp diesel engine with Twindisc gear. Direct stainless 1.25" prop shaft with 14" Campbell sailor 3 blade prop. 45-gallon diesel fuel tank. 1200 hours on engine. Powers boat at 5 knots cruising speed.

Sailing Rig

40' Yachttech mast new from 1997. All stainless chain plates and standing rigging. Schaefer roller furling headsail with new headsail in 2019. Andersen all stainless winches. All sailing hardware is Schaefer 7 series.

Interior

Two large settees over 6' long with two cabinets and storage area beside each. High-capacity forced air propane cabin heater. Well-lit with six port lights and interior cabin lights. 12v fan facing each settee and carpeted floor. Each settee pulls out to double bed.
