"Co-Brokerage Available" 1982 Nelson – 34 (Navigator) For a boat with working-class roots, the Nelson 34 attracts more than its share of admiring glances. Designed by the late Peter Thornycroft, the originator of the Nelson Range, it is the archetypal police boat in the same way as her big sister, the Nelson 40, is the archetypal pilot boat. The hollow buttocks give a very flat run, providing lift for full planing speeds if desired. A long waterline, moderate beam, high bows and round bilges ensure excellent handling throughout the speed range. Designed for fuel efficiency and a soft ride at semi-planing speeds, Nelsons can better maintain speed in heavy weather and are vastly more comfortable on passage than chine planing powercraft. This Nelson 34 was laid up by C&C Yachts of Canada for the Canadian Navy. It was primarily used as an Oceanography sounding vessel, and as an Admiral's Shuttle between warships. She is powerful, strong, beautiful and extremely Sea Worthy. New injectors, timing, and pressure checked to military standards. https://www.nelsonboatownersclub.co.uk/nelsonstory.html
