1984 Sidewinder 16 SS

There are not many restored and modernized ski-boats like this 1984 Sidewinder 16 SS. Completely refit in 2019 which included splitting the hull, new strings, transom, floor, carpet, helm seats, aft deck hatch and upholstery. At the same time a professionally built 115hp Optimax DFI was rebuilt, offering performance, tones of the original engine noise, with a quieter idle, greatly increased reliability and fuel economy. This 'Canadiana Edition' Sidewinder is equipped with matching Livorsi bezels, Mercury Smartcraft, and a new remote control box.

The hull rebuild included adding additional gussets between the stringers and transom. There was a center pad added, 10” width, 5/8” depth, which runs from 5/8” towards bow, narrowing to no depth or width. This ensures there is little-to-no chine walk while at wide open throttle. The hull is finished with speedcoat-49, which is a hardened hydrophobic coating.
