Bowrider’s have developed over the past few decades into arguably the most popular general purpose boat of all and where once were only available up to less than twenty feet, are currently being offered from about sixteen feet up to the mid-thirties feet in length and loaded with available amenities to satisfy almost any whim or desire.
The beauty of a bowrider is its seating capacity which virtually surrounds its interior perimeter allowing for lots of on-board passengers or amazing flexibility in seating for fewer passengers. Some larger bowriders even offer enclosed head (toilet) facilities, cockpit tables and wetbars with a sink, portable cooler and/or electric refrigerator, and the largest models have even started to offer below-deck sleeping accommodations. All bowriders of all sizes offer basic or fancy lounging sunpads plus either molded-in or extended swim platforms to accommodate watersports activities. Bowriders are usually outboard or sterndrive powered up to about eighteen or twenty feet and almost exclusively sterndrive powered above that.
