Now into its second and third generations as a family-owned and managed business with forty years of boat-building behind it, Regal has been proud to say for a number of years that it is financially debt-free. With production facilities in Orlando, Florida and Valdosta, Georgia, Regal offers a full lineup of twenty-nine models in five series from nineteen feet to over fifty-two feet.

The 2300 is a brand new family bowrider for 2010 running on Regal’s award-winning FasTrac™ stepped hull design. It is being touted as a crossover hybrid or multi-purpose crossover as the only boat in its class to offer an optional electrically-actuated laydown wakesport arch. To further the “crossover” theme, the traditional dual bucket helm seating arrangement can be interchanged with no-charge optional “arena” seating featuring full wrap-around cockpit seating with a built-in spotter’s seat. Regal claims an extra six inches of cockpit room over comparable competitive boats.

In the bow area, the seat cushions are contoured for more comfort, have backrests, and have adjustable armrests as does the driver’s fully adjustable, swivel bucket seat. All seating offers finished storage below and in-floor is a huge RTM fibreglass ski locker hatch. The aft sundeck and rear bench seat have removable centre cushions to aid in access from the cockpit to the oversized and close-to-the-water extended swim platform. Remote transom trim switch and stereo controls are standard as are docking lights. Stainless steel cleats and ski tow eye are retractable pop-ups. All hull graphics and colours are gelcoated into the mold.

Since the 2300 is so well equipped with standard offerings, the option list is comparatively small. Choose increasingly upgraded wakesport options, stereo systems, or sporty hull graphics, a teak cockpit table, an onboard air compressor for inflatable watertoys, but perhaps more essentially, full surround canvas to mate to the standard bimini top.

Six Volvo Penta and two MerCruiser sterndrive V-8 power options are available from 270 to 320 HP. Your choice will depend on your loading and watersport activity requirements. The new 2300 is a well thought out and executed addition to Regal’s extensive offerings.
