G3 Angler V164

G3 Boats of Lebanon, Missouri, a Yamaha boat company, produces a phenomenal selection of aluminum utility, jon, and fishing boats, both of welded and riveted construction, from ten to twenty feet in length, plus Sun Catcher pontoon boats to almost twenty-three feet.

The V164 F, all new for 2011, and with some Canadian input in its design, is part of G3’s Angler Deep-V series of riveted boats which offers a total of eighteen variations of trolling, side-console, and dual-console boats from fourteen to eighteen and a half feet. The V164 F is a dual console runabout fishing boat where the windshield itself is not only extra high but is mounted on extended height consoles. This, coupled with the deep interior of the hull design, provides ample protection for driver and passenger, especially during those sometimes bone-chilling early mornings and late afternoons of our early spring and late fall “best Canadian” preferred fishing times.

As with others in the Angler V™ series, the V164 F is fabricated from 5052 H34 marine-grade aluminum alloy utilizing G3’s .100 gauge Z-Beam™ stringer system, double-riveted seams in its three-piece hull design, full-length riveted keel, plus transverse bow stringers to add more reinforcement to its GX2™ double-plated bow. Outside, the hull is urethane painted in two-tone, high gloss colours with custom graphics. Choose from black with platinum or ivory with silver. Inside, the vinyl covering makes for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Six pedestal seat bases are provided with two high-back, fold-down fishing chairs. More seats with pedestals are optionally available. Lockable storage, some dedicated, some general, is located throughout the boat where you most need it, including a large lockable glove box in the passenger helm which, when the door is open, doubles as a double drinkholder/tray. Fishing rods are kept organized and ready for action in a lockable side-mounted locker while a large, over 100-litre stern livewell is also standard equipment.

A new gunnel design on the V164 F offers a wide, flat surface for an accessory track and a snap-cover system. Stainless steel pop-up cleats are standard. The molded helm provides fog-resistant Faria® speedometer, tachometer, fuel, and trim gauges, plus Yamaha controls. A custom powder coated Trail Guard® trailer with locking detachable tongue and tongue jack is part of the package. Choose a Yamaha outboard according to your boating and loading requirements, but most will want a minimum of 50 horsepower. Maximum is 75 horsepower.

There are few factory options available for the V164 F, including trailer upgrades, but you may want to select the Minn Kota 55 PD/US 54” shaft trolling motor and one of several available Garmin fishfinder/GPS units with or without bow mount capabilities.

Get prepared to hook the big ones with this new entry from G3 Boats.
