Crestliner’s 1850 and 2050 Commander Elite models are all-new for 2017 and from every angle, you just know they are built and are intended for serious big water fishing. From the very high and heavily framed all-welded centre-opening sectional windshield to the standard polished diamond plating welded onto all surfaces of the bow area to fully seal the deck, these Commander Elites take on an almost rugged, commercial look.

These two new boats form part of Crestliner’s staggering seventy model offering of all-welded aluminum fishing boats for 2017 in five series of Mod-V and Deep-V design. The 1850 and 2050 Commander Elites are themselves part of Crestliner’s Deep-V Multispecies series.

At eighteen feet, eight inches length overall on a seven foot, ten inch beam with a cockpit depth of thirty inches, the standard model 1850 Elite is outfitted for two serious anglers providing an almost uncluttered interior and featuring Crestliner’s “Space Saving Transom that offers a large, open space for fishing and manoeuvring.“

Instead of the motor well intruding into the cockpit, the Commander Elite’s inner transom is squared off perpendicular to the cockpit sides immediately ahead of the motor well to provide more room to fish at the stern of the boat. Additionally, a fully enclosed, removable storage drawer within this transom design can be placed on the stern non-skid pad to be used as a cutting board for bait. There is no stern seating or stern jump seats to impede your fishing.

A fixed pedestal helm and passenger seat is provided standard, the helm seat with a slider adjustment. As optional equipment, you may choose two more of these pedestal seats in the cockpit, add power pedestals, exchange one or both seats for recliners with armrests, exchange both for the Pro fishing seats, add storage boxes beneath the two seats, and/or opt for two additional folding bench seats with storage below – one on each side of the cockpit behind the helm and passenger seats.

Both helm and passenger consoles are all aluminum with flat top surfaces to enable the mounting of electronics. A large lockable storage box is within the passenger console and open, weather-protected storage is found beneath both consoles. Hydraulic tilt steering is standard as is speedometer, tachometer, and trim gauges, courtesy lighting plus a 12-volt power outlet and master power switch. You may optionally choose between a couple of stereo systems plus a Humminbird Helix 9 SI GPS. Starboard and/or port side pantograph windshield wipers are also available. Maximum horsepower is your choice of brand up to 150 horsepower.

On the floor between the two consoles is a bow step with storage. Immediately aft of this is a lockable in-floor rod storage locker with six tubes for rods up to 7’6”. This locker may be optionally refitted with a fish box. Additional rod storage is found under each gunnel with four tubes each to handle rods up to 9’6”. Six additional vertical rod holders are available for centre mounting on the inside of the transom and of course more may be added to fit Crestliner’s standard gunnel SureMount accessory mounting system. A 22-gallon aerated livewell is provided in the floor of the bow area.

Other notable standard equipment includes vinyl flooring in the cockpit, a reboarding ladder, and a black painted bunk trailer. Notable optional equipment includes many accessories to augment the SureMount system, welded bow rails, transom washdown system, canvas options including a full enclosure, custom travel cover, battery charger, and several trailer upgrades.

In Crestliner’s own words, “Simply put, the Commander Elite is built to withstand the harshest of waters and worst weather conditions nature can dish out—all while providing an outstanding fishing experience.”
