Triton Boats was founded in 1996 and has its headquarters in Springfield, MO and production facilities in “The Arkansas Ozarks.” Their brand mission is “to build the first true tournament-ready, high-performance bass boat.”

Triton added aluminum boats in 2001 and today offer eighteen models in four series of fibreglass fishing boats, including Bay center consoles, from seventeen to twenty-six feet. They also offer another twenty-one models in seven series of aluminum boats from ten to twenty feet. The Fish & Ski fibreglass series is composed of two Allure models in eighteen and twenty feet.

Both the Allure 186 and 206 are designed and outfitted to be family friendly as well as dedicated fishing machines with features and equipment favourable to both pursuits. An unusually long list of available factory optional equipment allows you to fine-tune your order to create a boat to your exact specifications. They are of all composite fibreglass construction with built-in upright, level flotation.

The Triton Allure 186 is a full 18 feet, 6 inches LOA and rides on a relatively wide eight foot, four inch beam. It is a dual console design with a five-piece surrounding windshield with a center walk-through section. On each side of bow casting platform is a large in-deck lockable storage compartment, each with surrounding gaskets and drain channels to help keep stored items dry.

Centered lengthwise within the bow casting deck is a lockable rod storage locker accessed from beneath the center walk-thru. The lid of the locker is supported with gas assist struts and holds ten rod separating tubes. A handy 12-quart built-in ice chest is found between the driver and passenger seats. A cockpit port side rod ramp is also provided.

Six pedestal mounting seat bases are provided in the Allure 186; four in the cockpit and one centred on each of the stern and bow casting decks. Three high-tech padded bolstered folding two-tone Centric SAS (Shock Absorbing System) fishing seats are provided standard. More of these same seats are optionally available.

Standard seating also includes a pair of stern fold-down jump seats. When folded down, they form part of the stern casting platform. Storage is found beneath the port side jump seat and battery storage beneath the starboard side jump seat. Centred between these stern jump seats is a 23-gallon hi-capacity insulated livewell with divider, 800 gph aerated pump, recirculation pump, timer, pumpout, and “Stay-Full” overflow system.

A fancy deluxe three-spoke steering wheel with standard SeaStar® hydraulic steering fronts a molded dash with tachometer, speedometer, fuel, and trim gauges. A large flat surface on top is ideal for surface mounted electronics. A Lowrance® HOOK2 5 Combo GPS/Fishfinder is standard. The molded passenger dash features a glove box, drinkholder, grab-handle, and footrest. A Clarion stereo with two speakers is standard.

Other notable standard equipment includes a Minn Kota® Terrova 80/I-Pilot bow mounted trolling motor, bow trim switch, a Dual Pro on-board 6x2 battery charger, cockpit courtesy light, pull-up cleats, lighted stainless steel drinkholders, stern folding boarding ladder, and a choice of ten standard colour schemes. Also standard is a swing tongue trailer with custom aluminum wheels, spare tire, and three-step bow entry system.

Notable general available options include bow and/or cockpit gunnel-mounted handrails, stand up fishing top to which you may add just a windshield connector panel or a full enclosure, custom boat cover, KeelShield® protector, ski tow bar, snap-in carpet, tilt steering wheel, bow cushion set, a pair of LED livewell lights, custom colours, trailer accessories, and even a bubble-style plexi windscreen.

A “Family” option package includes the snap-in carpet, ski tow bar, bow cushion set, and stand up top with windshield connector panel. Bow electronics options include RAM mounted Lowrance® HOOK2 5 or 2 7 Combo, HDS-7 LIVE or Humminbird® HELIX 7 MDI or MSI. These same choices are available for the driver’s console. Several compatible hi-tech electronics accessories are also available.

You may want hydraulic adjustable pedestal seat bases or Smooth Move® driver and/or passenger pedestals, a bike seat, or Pro Pole assembly. A wide selection of trolling motors and accessories are available from Minn Kota® and Motorguide® as well as a 4-bank battery charger. Choose from Mercury® 9.9 or 15 horsepower Pro Kicker motors and BRP or Mercury® Kicker Engine Flush Controls with tie bar. Main power may be selected from Evinrude® or Mercury® 150 – 175 horsepower outboards.

The Allure 186 certainly seems to live up to Triton’s claim that it “redefines multitasking on the water.”
