1959 CENTURY 19' RESORTER - in typical Century fashion they were always at the cutting edge of Boat Designs in the 1950's and 60's. Often following the automotive styling of the day they came up with some very interesting and sometimes controversial designs. The 1959 19 foot Resorters were one of those. Introduced in 1958 they broke traditional design with a very unique squared off bow which was often compared to the deck of an aircraft carrier!! That said the sales for the 19' Resorter were 170 boats in 1958 and then up to 180 in 1959 which was significantly more than the previous model it replaced..
This particular boat is Hull #JD59118 which makes it the 68th hull produced in 1959. It has spent the majority of its time in the Northwest mostly in Montana on Flathead Lake. Imported to Alberta in 2010 and again always used in fresh water - mostly Shuswap Lake in B.C. The boat is in good User Condition but does need some TLC depending on what level you want to see it at.
It has it's original bottom and most of its hull and deck planking. The interior is said to be mostly original along with the Chrome Hardware which would need re-plating if wanting to show it. The engine is the original Ford Marine 312 Interceptor with dual side draft 2bbl carbs (which have just been re-built). Included but not installed is a Sliding Roof (frame only) from a 1963 Century Resorter which needs new fabric installed.
The boat comes with a Full Winter cover and a solid older tandem axle trailer which has brakes on both axles and will include a heavy duty anti sway bar hitch.
