Russel Brothers was formed in Ontario in 1907 and moved to Owen Sound in 1936.� The Fort Frances yard was sold to Cyril Maffey in 1939 and continued as Maffey Steel Boats until 1962.� The yard was famous for its designs of small working tugs and produced many yard tugs for the Canadian Navy in World War II.�
