Price is negotiable. Also, will trade for smaller, open day sailer.
A 1979 Canadian built Edel 540, fixed keel, with trailor that I have been refurbishing over the past four seasons since acquiring in spring of 2018. Easy to sail pocket cruising boat, ideal for bay or lake sailing. We're sailing out of Huron, Ohio, on Lake Erie and also in Sandusky Bay.
(Will be happy to deliver boat to nearest Canadian entry point if needed (e.g., Windsor/Sarnia or Buffalo/Niagra, may move her to Red Bay, Ontario this fall).
The boat is in great shape for her age. Those familiar with this pocket crusier design know she sails larger than her +17 foot length (14 feet at waterline) given her wide, 8 foot beam. Basic cabin can sleep four, but sleeps two with gear rather comfortably.
Boat has been cleaned and polished annually, hull looks great. Electric motor works nicely propelling her out and into the marina.
The trailer is older, could use paint, but was refurbished last year with new hardware, plus new wheel bearings, etc. Boat is hoisted into the water so the trailer has not been in the water since refurbishing. Spare tire.
She is fully equipped with many standard features of a larger sailboat. Other inventory of note:
She is in terrific shape and we are sailing her this summer and fall. More photos available.
