This Islander 36 began her career in San Francisco where she raced as 'Wild Onion' until 1999. She has been offshore, at least to Hawaii, and came to the northwest sometime around 2008. We've owned her for five years. Past her prime now, but an excellent coastal cruiser. These boats were built to last.
Main is four years old by Leitch & McBride, genoa is fairly old. Also a working jib and spinnaker. Roller furling. All necessary lines and blocks. Very solid chain anchor rode, Lewmar winch, 65 ft of 5/16 chain and 175 ft nylon.
She comes with a very nice dodger, which we haven't used this season. Needs a bit of stitching, otherwise fine.
The Islander 36 features a stairway rather than a ladder, so access below is simple and easy. Propane galley, electric reefer, VHF, auto bilge pump. Vee berth, room for three in the main salon. Head and holding tank installed when we bought her.
Sorry to see her go, but passage of time means we need something smaller. Old age is no fun. Call me if you're interested. Boat is at Royal Vancouver YC Jericho.
