The Powerboat Guide calls Carver's 355 Motor Yacht (356 in later years) "arguably the best selling boat in her class" and it's easy to see why. The 355 Motor Yacht has just about everything you could hope for in an aft cabin cruiser, all packed into a 39' of boat. Yet it doesn't feel cramped. There's plenty of cabin space down below and lots of usable deck space up top. With two staterooms, two heads and an open concept main cabin, there is plenty of room for captain and crew to enjoy the cruising life in comfort.
The hull construction is solid fiberglass with cored decks to reduce weight. There is a good-size integral swim platform and bow pulpit with an anchor on an all-chain windlass. The hardtop aft deck is canvas-enclosed with wing doors leading to wide side decks. An easily negotiated molded staircase with railing descends to the extended swim platform, which also has a storage bin and a rail-mounted BBQ. A wet bar with fridge on the aft deck minimizes trips below for snack and drinks, and there is plenty aft deck and fly bridge seating available to allow everyone to fully enjoy the cruise.
We really like the sense of openness below decks provided by the galley-down layout and large cabin side windows, all of which is further enhanced by neutral coloured cabinetry, fabrics and upholstery. The salon sofa converts to a double berth. It was re-upholstered in leather in 2021 and is in excellent condition, which is not surprising as "Seaclusion" is in very clean condition throughout, including bilges and engine compartment. A 2022 SAMS survey is available for review upon receipt of an accepted offer.
