This is our Parker 247, rigged by the team at Parker Marine for the way we actually like to fish the BC coast. The Parker 247 Explorer is built for anglers who want the capability to go farther, fish harder, and stay comfortable when Pacific conditions turn on. With a wide-open fishing layout, large pilothouse, spacious cuddy cabin, in-floor fishboxes, Seakeeper Ride, and the size and stability to handle serious offshore trips, the 247 is equally at home chasing chinook and halibut off the west coast of Vancouver Island, exploring Haida Gwaii, or spending several days working your way through the Discovery Islands. A Cuddy Built for Adventures One of the things we love about the 247 is its large, open-concept cuddy cabin. It gives you a comfortable place to get out of the weather, store your gear, and — when the trip calls for it — sleep two comfortably. It turns the 247 from a great fishing boat into a boat you can actually spend a few nights aboard while exploring the coast. Back on deck, a freshwater shower makes rinsing off after a swim, washing down the boat, or cleaning up after a long day on the water quick and easy. And when the sun goes down, this boat is ready to keep going. We've installed a high-output LED light bar flush-mounted into the pilothouse roof, providing an incredible amount of light for running at dusk or navigating in complete darkness. Whether you're making an early-morning tuna run or coming home after a late evening offshore, you'll have the visibility you need. Parker Marine Demo Rigging We've taken the Parker platform and added the electronics, controls, lighting, and fishing equipment we know and trust. Up front, the helm features a flush-mounted Lowrance Elite 10, along with a flush-mounted VHF radio. The Yamaha controls include Yamaha DEC electronic controls and a CL5 digital touchscreen gauge, giving you clean, intuitive control and engine information right at the helm. The factory sound system is installed throughout the cabin and rear deck, while the rear station is set up for serious fishing. The second station features controls and steering for both the main engine and kicker, with autopilot functionality at both stations. The autopilot can control both the main and kicker, and can also be operated directly through the two Lowrance displays. A Lowrance Elite 7 is mounted at the rear station, keeping your electronics and navigation right where you need them when you're working the back deck. For fishing, we've equipped the boat with Scotty 2106 High-Speed electric downriggers, mounted on quick-connect stainless steel Burnewiin mounts.
