CONSTRUCTION

• Hull: constructed with fiberglass and Kevlar sandwich, incorporating Balsa wood core
• Biaxial fiberglass-Kevlar laminate with unidirectional glass in high stress areas
• Hydrex Isopthaalic gelcoat was used to protect from osmosis and improve durability
• Deck: Single unit molded Kevlar hybrid laminate, alternate layers hand laid up, Balsa wood cored, unidirectional glass in highly stressed areas and coremat hardware backing
• Keel: deep elliptical form with bulb, cast lead, fixed to hull with stainless steel bolts
• Rudder: Elliptical molded fiberglass with pressurized foam core
