Scarab offers twelve models of jet boats in four lengths ranging from sixteen to twenty-five feet. Eight of these are bowriders; four are center consoles. Each of these models either has a “G” or an “ID” designator in the model name. Consider the “G” designator as a base model and yet equipped in each case to include almost all you would basically want in order to go boating comfortably. The “ID” designator often offers more power and more colours and more graphics and more pizzazz.

And so it is that the smallest of Scarab’s offerings, the 165 G also has the identical sized sister offering, the 165 ID which provides more power and more pizzazz. The six larger Scarab bowrider model designations all have the expected full center-opening walk-thru windshield while both 165 bowriders are a side console design with a protective console windscreen.

At less than sixteen feet on a seven-foot, one-inch beam, the 165 G is not a large boat but it is literally filled with seating from front to back to accommodate up to five passengers while underway. Three individual bucket-style seats with padded side bolsters and armrests on the port and starboard inner and upper hull sides provide great support and comfort for the driver and two passengers.

An L-shaped bench seat with inner gunnel padded bolsters for back support starts opposite the driver’s console on the port side and extends forward and across the inside of the bow providing seating for two more when under way. When at rest and for maximum enjoyment of watersports activities, two can enjoy the aft-facing transom bucket-style seats mounted a tier above the large integrated swim platform with its hidden telescoping stainless steel boarding ladder. A transom ski tow eye is standard.

Storage is found beneath some interior seat cushions, within the console, and a large in-floor storage compartment between the console and the bow bench seat is great for watersports accessories such as skis or a wakeboard. Port and starboard cargo netting offers more storage capability. Safety assist handles are provided as are cupholders and cockpit courtesy lighting.

The driver’s console with a very modern, sporty, and attractive molded dash provides all the desired instrumentation including tachometer, GPS speedometer, fuel and oil pressure gauges, voltmeter, engine temperature overheat, plus a fuel consumption gauge all within a Scarab custom gauge cluster. A USB charge port is provided as is a 12-volt accessory outlet. A digital speed control package is optionally available.

Power for your Scarab 165 G jet boat is supplied by a 150 horsepower Rotax® 4-TEC ECT 1.5L fuel injected engine with lateral thrust control and a weedless shaft guard. A flush out exhaust kit is included. Standard gelcoat hull side colour is Jet Black with white deck, interior, and hull bottom. The console is also Jet Black and the Scarab premium upholstery is attractive two-tone grey and white. A Scarab® custom painted bunk trailer is supplied standard.

Like its namesake Scarab® offshore performance boat legacy, the Scarab 165 G jet boat rides on a relatively very deep-vee hull design of twenty-one degrees of deadrise providing what should be a most comfortable ride even when the going gets rough. There are relatively few factory options available but most of them you will find most desirable in that they will enhance immeasurably your on-water pleasure and enjoyment.

You may choose a bimini top and trailering cover for protection of yourself and your boat and gray Marine Mat for the cockpit and/or the swim platform for comfort underfoot. An Impact Graphics package will spice up the look of your boat while a wakeboard tower with or without a bimini and with or without board racks will spice up your watersports enjoyment quotient. Trailer upgrades are also available.

Yes the Scarab 165 G may be a small boat but it is packed full of enjoyment and fun and it’s easy to transport to and from whatever body of water pleases your fancy that particular day.
