Construction
We use Stainless Steel Elevator Thru Bolts & Nylock nuts vs sheet metal screws used by competitors.
We secure our decks with precision, allowing bolts to stay intact and anchored to the foundation.
We use taller, thicker and more closely spaced C-Channels to connect the deck to the pontoons. When combined with our extruded saddle brackets, you get not only a sturdier-built boat, but also a higher, more comfortable ride.
The thickness & shape of the extruded F-Channel rub rail creates a durable deck-edge finish to protect your boat from dock rash & dings. It adds to our structural integrity & is not just for looks.
Our tubes are engineered for strength by using a beaded baffle between every chamber. These are welded in place & the chambers are seam welded together to produce a robust tube with strength needed for our lifetime structural warranty.
Our heavy-duty nose cones not only provide added strength, but are part of what creates the lift, speed, and smooth ride that Godfrey is known for.

Why Lifting Strakes?
1. Lifting strakes help the pontoons rise out of the water when underway. Less boat in the water = less drag, Less drag = higher top speed. Also improves fuel economy.
2. Improved Handling (Feels More Like a V-Hull). Without strakes, pontoons tend to “slide” in turns. Lifting strakes add bite in the water, giving the boat: More predictable turns, Tighter cornering, Less sideways slipping and it makes a pontoon feel more controlled, especially at higher speeds.
3. Faster Time to Plane = Better hole shot, Less bow rise, Smoother acceleration and a better ride in chop.
