G3’s Angler V18 SF combines the versatility of family watersports (S) with fishing (F) options to provide an entire family with the on-water enjoyment they want. The Angler V18SF is part of G3’s sixteen model deep-V riveted aluminum multi-species series from sixteen to twenty-one feet and includes dual-console, side console, and tiller models plus Guide and Outfitter models.

In all, G3, a Yamaha Boat Company, offers dozens of models in four series of Jon, Bay, Sportsman, these Angler models of aluminum fishing boats, plus another five series of SunCatcher pontoon boats.

All Angler V series boats come with G3’s exclusive GX2™ reinforced hull with double plating; in the case of the V18 SF, double-plated bow and bottom, both in .080 gauge aluminum. G3 refers to its Angler V series as having “wide-body” designs and indeed the V18 SF rides on a full eight-foot beam. It has a dual console configuration ideally suited for Canadian boating weather having a high three-piece, centre opening, tinted windshield with protective rounded corners.

It comes with a pair of high back upholstered, padded, and contoured fishing chairs with four chair bases located within the cockpit. These chairs may also be utilized on the two bases flanking the standard aerated 15-gallon livewell on the stern platform, or to the one base centred on the bow platform next to the larger aerated 20-gallon bow livewell.

When the stern platform is not being used for stand-up or chair-mounted fishing, a pair of standard flip-up stern jump seats converts this aft platform for additional seating. Of course additional fishing seats or bike seats are optionally available to increase on-board seating capacity from the standard four supplied seating up to a maximum eight person capacity.

To further appeal to both family recreation and fishing enthusiasts you have your choice of two standard flooring offerings; 18-ounce marine-grade carpet or marine-grade vinyl flooring. A stereo with two speakers is also standard, as is a starboard side stern swim platform with telescoping boarding ladder. You may further choose from three standard hullside high gloss painted colours; Black Metallic, Burgundy, or White which include custom graphics.

The very modern black moulded helm and passenger consoles both feature “soft touch” vinyl as well as several useful amenities. Centred ahead of the sporty tilt wheel with standard hydraulic assist is the Faria® analog gauge cluster with large tachometer and speedometer and smaller trim, fuel, and volt gauges. To its right is a row of easy to read and operate silver toggle switches for all of the DC accessories.

Above this on the driver’s console is a tray with molded lips to hold loose items such as sunglasses and onto which may be mounted at eye level your choice of optional Lowrance® Hook² 4X thru 7 (inch) COMBO sonar/chartplotters or the even more serious Lowrance® HDS 7 or 9-inch Live sonar/chartplotter. The similarly designed passenger console features a lockable glove box and a similar small item storage tray along with a cupholder.

Covered storage compartments are found almost everywhere within the foredeck and cockpit sides of the V18 SF. Lockable rod storage is offered along the port side cockpit wall and beneath the centre step up to the bow casting deck. A smaller starboard side cockpit compartment aft of the motor controls and a larger one beneath the port side stern jump seat services the cockpit. Four large and deep compartments within the bow casting deck, three of them with roto-molded inserts with lips provide lots of storage up front./p>

Other notable standard equipment includes a gunnel-mounted accessory track as well as a snap cover track, tackle trays, a two-bank battery charger, three engine trim locations, and a Bear® black powder-coated Trail Guard® steel bunk trailer with brakes and aluminum wheels. This may be optionally upgraded with a galvanized or roller trailer and other accessories.

You may choose your power from a Yamaha F or VF 115, 150, or 175 horsepower outboard. Other notable available options include a waterski tow hoop, an 8-foot Power Pole® shallow water anchor, a Minn Kota® 24-volt bow mounted trolling motor, and a kicker engine installation kit. To this you can then add a Yamaha T9.9 kicker engine.

The versatility from the standard and optional equipment offered with the G3 Angler V18 SF make it ideal for both family recreation and fun as well as for the fishing enthusiast.
